General Provisions

We, Sertronics AG, take the protection of your personal data (hereinafter “personal data”) seriously. Since data protection is of great importance to us, we strictly comply with the legal regulations when collecting, processing, and using data.

Personal Data

“Personal data” refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, a customer number, location data, an online identifier, or one or more characteristics specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

Legal Basis

The legal basis for the processing of personal data of affected individuals in Switzerland derives from the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP; SR 235.1) dated September 25, 2020, and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO; SR 235.11) dated August 31, 2022.

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective as of May 25, 2018, applies to the processing of personal data of individuals located in the European Union, if the data processing is related to offering goods or services to individuals in the EU.

Security

To prevent unauthorized access to your personal data, ensure data accuracy, and guarantee the legitimate use of data, we have established appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to secure and protect the information we collect online. For the transmission of sensitive data, such as payment information, we use SSL encryption (128-bit).

We regularly review our technical and organizational security measures to adapt them to risks and to prevent the loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration of your personal data.

Our employees are obligated to maintain confidentiality in handling personal data.

Right to Information

You have the right at any time to request information about the data stored about you, its origin, recipients, and the purpose of its storage. The Data Protection Officer of Sertronics AG (service@sertronics.com) provides information about the stored data.

Right to Erasure of Data

You also have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and data, subject to statutory retention periods in accordance with Swiss law (Art. 32 para. 2 lit. a FADP; Art. 17 para. 1-3 GDPR). To do so, contact our Data Protection Officer (service@sertronics.com).

Data Processing on This Website

Each time a file is requested on the website, access data is automatically stored, which your browser transmits to us, such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (previously visited page), hostname of the accessing computer (IP address), and time of the server request.

This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. The data is deleted after statistical evaluation.

Personal data is only stored if you provide it to us, for example, in the context of registration or contract fulfillment.

We use the collected data exclusively for internal order processing and may pass it on to third parties for this purpose. For example, this may be necessary to process payments or to a supplier who delivers the ordered goods to you. The data passed on may only be used by the recipient to fulfill their task, and any other use of the information is not permitted.

Cookies

A cookie is a text segment that is stored on your PC’s hard drive with your permission. If you agree, your browser adds the text into a small file. When you visit our online shop, a cookie enables you to shop by placing items in a shopping cart. The shopping cart itself is not a cookie. The cookie is stored on your hard drive and records the contents of your shopping cart to avoid confusion with other carts in use at the same time.

You can set your web browser to notify you before a cookie is stored or to reject cookies altogether. You can also delete the files that contain cookies, as they are stored as part of your web browser. However, we point out that shopping in our online shop and the use of “My Account” functions are not possible without cookies. During your shopping session, we use “session cookies” to identify the user until they close the last browser window.
